NAHJ-Nevada's elections are here again. Get involved and be part of a small, but influential organization!
The organization will have a mixer from 7-9 p.m. on Sept. 17 at the Perch, located at the Downtown Container Park (707 Fremont St.). Local journalists interested in running for a 2016 position in NAHJ-Nevada's board should attend.
The positions up for election on Sept. 26 are president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, social media coordinator and assistant regional director.
The local board's responsibilities include maintaining the organization's summer internship program in partnership with the Las Vegas Review-Journal and fundraising to pay part of the cost. Money is usually raised during the organization's annual photo auction.
Organizing an annual social with local public information officers and other exciting events are also among the board's tasks throughout the year.
You have to be an NAHJ member to run and positions are voluntary, not paid. More details will be available during the mixer on how to run for a position
Become involved and help make a difference.
We hope to see you there!

NAHJ-Nevada President
